Tyler Wiley has nearly a decade of experience in political and public affairs and has served extensively at the highest levels of the federal government and political campaigns. His work experience includes time spent in political advocacy, trade associations, executive communications, and nonprofits. Tyler currently serves as the Director of Public Affairs and Communications at AxAdvocacy. Prior to this role, he served as the Director of Public and Political Affairs for the San Diego Association of REALTORS, one of California’s largest trade associations.
Tyler has served as a political appointee of the Trump Administration in the role of Special Assistant to the Secretary of Health and Human Services, Alex Azar — where he worked closely with the Operation Warpspeed vaccine team during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Wiley additionally has worked as an aide to United States Attorney General Jeff Sessions during his 2020 Alabama Senate race and as the Director of Operations for Lanhee Chen’s 2022 California Controller race, one of the closest California statewide Republican performances in nearly two decades. He also has worked in the nonprofit sector, leading communications for the Davenport Institute for Public Engagement and Civic Leadership.
Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, Tyler graduated from Pepperdine University with a Master’s degree in Public Policy with a specialization in International Relations and National Security. He also earned a Double-Bachelor’s degree in History and Political Science from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. He currently resides in Alexandria, Virginia.
