Tom Killion

Senator Tom Killion served the residents of the 9th Senatorial District, covering parts of Chester and Delaware counties, from his victory in a special election on April 26, 2016, through November 2020. He served as chairperson of the Senate Community, Economic & Recreational Development Committee. Killion served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for 13 years representing the 168th Legislative District. He also served on the following Senate Committees: Appropriations, Banking & Insurance, Consumer Protection & Professional Licensure (Vice Chair), Intergovernmental Operations, and Law & Justice. Before his service in the Pennsylvania General Assembly, Killion was the Chairman of Delaware County Council, where he served residents from 1992 to 2000.



A Cardinal O'Hara High School and Pennsylvania State University graduate, Killion served as district director to former Congressman Curt Weldon from 1987 to 1992. Killion has also distinguished himself in the private sector. The Vice President of Wyatt Elevator Company in Folcroft, PA, a provider of quality service for commercial elevators and other vertical transportation devices in the Philadelphia and Tri-State region, Killion was formerly a stockbroker and Certified Financial Planner™️ and utilized that experience as part of his work on reforming the state pension system. Killion's extensive community and volunteer involvement includes service as a director or member of more than twenty non-profits, organizations, and governmental agencies, including Penn State Brandywine Advisory Board, Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA), Chairman of the Delaware County Young Republicans, Delaware County's Soil & Water Conservation District, Solid Waste Authority, Convention & Visitors Bureau, and Domestic Abuse Project, Chester County Chamber of Business & Industry, Southeastern PA Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Visit Philly, Elwyn, Rocky Run YMCA, Rotorcraft Center of Excellence, Rachel Kohl Community Library, Chester County Chamber of Business and Industry.
