Fred joins Axiom Strategies and AxAdvocacy as a Director, after spending the last five years working in the Missouri Legislature. He most recently served as the Chief of Staff to Senator Cindy O’Laughlin, who chairs the Senate Education Committee. In addition, he also works as the Director of Communications for the Senate Majority Caucus. Prior to joining Senator O’Laughlin’s staff, Fred served as the Legislative Assistant to Senator Tony Luetkemeyer and Representative (now Senator) Holly Rehder.
Fred brings with him a deep understanding of many political issues, including education policy. He is a longtime advocate for school choice in the state and has helped pass some of the most influential education bills in Missouri history. This includes legislation promoting early literacy instruction, fair and equitable funding for charter schools, expanded access to virtual education, and the creation of the state’s first Education Savings Account program.
He is a life-long Missourian. Born and raised in St. Louis, Fred’s mother worked at Anheuser-Busch for almost 30 years, and his father owns and operates a manufacturing company in the forest products industry. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri Columbia, and while there studied at Hebrew University in Jerusalem after being on his Birthright trip for young Jewish adults. Fred is a diehard Cardinals fan, and he doesn’t understand why toasted ravioli aren’t served outside of his hometown.
