Elizabeth Coit
Elizabeth Coit is a highly experienced executive with over 20 years of political and public affairs experience working in service to complex organizations in their advocacy efforts – leading and building political and grassroots capacity for national organizations. As the Principal of Public Affairs for AxAdvocacy, she leads the team of professionals building and executing large-scale winning public affairs campaigns for our clients.
Prior to this, she was the National Political Director for the American Bankers Association (ABA). She joined the ABA in 2012 to expand and develop ABA’s political efforts into nationally recognized programs. She managed ABA’s independent expenditure and PAC programs which consistently raised and invested multi-millions each election cycle. She also served as liaison to both the National BankPac Committee and the Voter Education Advisory Council, comprised of highly respected member CEOs and state association executives.
Having spent much of her career working for three large national associations in multiple capacities, Coit understands how to build and strengthen the national dialog around an industry by increasing their political profile.
Coit earned her undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech and holds a Master of Arts degree in Political Management from George Washington University. She is a native of Maryland, where she currently resides with her husband and three children.
